Yuta grew up helping in his family's neighborhood tea gatherings before relocating to Berlin's creative food scene. Tama Matcha is his way of preserving the ritual of a hand-whisked bowl while sharing it with a new community of curious Berliners.

Tama Matcha is a roving tea counter designed for Berlin. We show up with handcrafted counters, slow-brew equipment, and premium ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji and Kagoshima. Your guests get a sensory break from the ordinary: aroma, texture, and flavour layered in real time.

We partner directly with small family farms in Uji and Kagoshima, Japan. Our matcha is shade-grown for at least three weeks, first harvest only, then stone-milled in micro batches. Each shipment arrives refrigerated and we open fresh tins on event days to preserve colour, sweetness, and antioxidant density.
Absolutely. All beverages start with pure ceremonial-grade matcha, and we stock multiple plant-based milks (oat, almond, coconut), low-glycaemic sweeteners, and caffeine-free alternatives. We set up separate tools for nut-free zones and can brief your team on ingredients in advance.
Matcha is rich in L-theanine, chlorophyll, and powerful antioxidants like EGCG. This combination delivers calm, sustained energy without coffee jitters. Our baristas are happy to offer five-minute "Matcha 101" moments or circulate with tasting cards so guests leave informed as well as refreshed.
Our setup is flexible and minimal. We work best with a flat surface (2 m for small events, 4 m for large), access to a standard electrical outlet, and running water nearby. We arrive 60-90 minutes before service for setup and calibration, and can operate indoors or outdoors (with weather cover).
Sustainability is core to our mission. We use organic matcha, fully compostable cups and utensils, and donate spent matcha grounds to local community gardens. We offset travel emissions quarterly through certified reforestation partners, so your event can taste great and tread lightly.
